The Detailed Crucifix Pendant is a squared Latin cross with bevelled edges. Down the centre of both arms runs a mirror-polished inlay panel in contrasting metal, framed on either side by a fine milgrain bead line and then by the satin bevel of the frame itself — three distinct surfaces before you reach the figure.
The corpus is carved in high relief and left in satin. The anatomy is properly modelled — ribs, the draw of the abdomen, the fall of the perizoma, the turn of the head and the crown — at a scale where most crucifixes settle for a flat silhouette. Small stones mark the nail points at each hand and at the feet.
The bail is polished flat and kept narrow so it disappears against a chain.
At an inch and a quarter it wears close and reads as a piece of work rather than a token — close enough to the body to sit under a collar, detailed enough to hold up when someone looks.
