Description & specifications

The oldest charm there is, cut down to an inch.

The Evil Eye Diamond Pendant is built as an open frame rather than a solid plate. The almond outline of the eye is traced in a single row of hand-set diamonds all the way round, and the field on either side of the iris is cut away completely, so the piece reads as a drawn line rather than a slab — you see straight through it to whatever is behind.

At the centre sits a round faceted blue stone, bezel-set in a raised collar, ringed by its own pavé halo. The halo floats inside the outline with open space between the two, which is what gives the eye its depth at this scale.

About the blue stone: it is a synthetic (lab-created) stone, not a natural sapphire. It is chosen for colour consistency — the even cornflower blue the charm calls for is difficult to match piece to piece in natural material, and far more expensive. The 51 stones forming the outline, halo and bail are diamonds; the blue centre is the one synthetic.

The bail is a short pavé-set post that keeps the diamond line running right to the top, and takes a chain up to 3mm.

At 1" across and 6.5g in 14K this is a light, everyday piece — the kind of charm that gets worn rather than saved for occasions.
