The "KS" Diamond Pendant is cut in a varsity block form — square stems, clipped corners, and a small spur at the top of each upright, the letterform you see on a jersey rather than in a book. At 50mm across, the pair reads clearly from a distance, which is the point of using a block face instead of a script one.

The letters overlap. The arm of the K runs behind the S where they meet, so the two characters lock into a single mark and the piece hangs as one unit. It also means the counters — the open square inside the K’s junction and the two bowls of the S — stay open, and you can see through them.

The setting is graduated, not uniform. A row of larger round brilliants traces the full outline of each letter, and the field inside is filled with smaller rounds laid in rows that run along the direction of each stroke. That is what stops a fully set letter from flattening: the big stones draw the edge, the small ones fill the body, and the letterform survives the brightness. 4.4tcw across 225 stones.

The edges are chamfered rather than left square, so each letter has a visible bevel between the face and its side wall and the piece keeps some depth when the light is flat.
