Eighteen carats of diamond, and not one bare edge of metal on the front.

The Snowflake Diamond Pendant carries 18.1tcw across 1,050 stones. It is a six-fold snowflake, 2" across, and every arm, branch and tip is set.

The setting is what this piece is about. Every spine runs as a channel of emerald-cut stones laid end to end, and each of those channels is outlined on both sides by a row of round diamonds. That pairing repeats at every scale: down the six main arms, out along each pair of side branches, and around the hexagonal centre. The step cuts throw long flat flashes; the rounds throw fire. Using both is what keeps a piece this densely set from reading as one undifferentiated sheet of white.

The centre is a hexagon of concentric emerald-cut rings, each ring framed in rounds, stepping inward to a single stone at the middle. The stones sit closest together here, and it is the point your eye returns to.

The whole flake is cut through between the arms, so it reads as six separate branches meeting at a hub rather than as a disc with a pattern on it. Nothing is closed in behind them.

The bail matches the arms exactly — a long emerald-cut channel lined in rounds, hinged, with a 10mm opening for a heavy chain.

At 60g in 14K, the metal is largely a frame for the stones. It is built to be looked at.
