Skulls on one side, roses on the other, carved into a solid band.

The Skeleton and Roses Bangle Bracelet is a rigid bangle rather than a chain — one continuous carved band that opens on a hinge and closes with a box lock set flush into the design. Nothing dangles and nothing rattles; it sits on the wrist as a single sculpted ring.

The carving runs the full circumference and changes as it goes. One stretch is a skeleton in full figure, ribs and spine cut deep enough to throw their own shadow, with skulls set at intervals along the band. This gives way to open roses and leaves, each bloom carved with layered petals and a turned edge, the foliage filling the ground between them. The two halves meet without a seam — bone into stem — which is the whole point of the piece: memento mori, the skull and the flower on the same object.

The inside of the band is left smooth and plain so the bangle is comfortable against the wrist and the carving stays on the outside where it is seen. The whole surface is finished in a fine satin — no bright polish anywhere, so the relief reads as depth rather than glare.

If you’re unable to visit a showroom, solid-gold and diamond jewelry without delicate or porous stones can be cleaned in a small bath of warm water with a few drops of Dawn dish soap. Gently agitate the piece to loosen oils and dirt, rinse thoroughly, and dry with a soft, lint-free cloth.
