The "West" Pendant is cut as a single solid plate, 3.25" across, in heavy slab-serif capitals — square-cut serifs on every stroke, thick stems, and the letters set tight enough to touch so the word holds together as one piece of metal rather than four joined characters.

The finish does the work here, not stones. The faces of the letters are polished bright and the ground they sit on is dropped and sandblasted to a fine matte, so the word lifts off its own background by contrast alone. Around the outside, a raised polished border traces the full outline of the word — following every serif, every notch between letters, and the step between the W and the E — which is what gives the plate its finished edge and keeps the silhouette crisp.

There is no backing panel behind the letters: the outline of the word is the outline of the pendant, so the counters of the E and the S read as open shapes and the piece stays lighter than its footprint suggests.

It can be made as any word or name. "West" is the example shown. The bail is a plain polished tapered band with a 6mm opening, deliberately unadorned — at this width the plate is the whole statement and a set bail would only crowd it.
